The first half of 2018 saw every manufacturer of smartphone copy Apple's trend of putting a notch in the display in order to offer a almost full screen experience. But the second half of the year saw a shift in the paradigm and manufacturers started to experiment ways to come up with ideas to avoid the notch but still offer a full screen experience to the customers. In this effort smartphone makers resorted to sliders, punch hole and pop up camera systems.
Among the three pop-up camera system was originally adopted by Vivo last year in Nex seriess of smartphones. the smartphone contained a motor which pops in and out the front camera of the phone from the top. Also due to declining sales in the budget segment of the smartphone market and the stiff competition Samsung faces from its Chinese counterparts Samsung decided to launch its budget smartphones with advanced technology in order to compete with other brands.
In a effort to this stride Samsung after introducing a punch hole display in Galaxy A8s launched in December are now going to pop up camera in a smartphone and it is called the Galaxy A90. Other details of the smartphone are not known but anything to go by, it might be powered by the Snapdragon 710 equivalent chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
